Fine Art Prints by Tom Rae
For me, printing is the ultimate final form of art production. With every image of mine comes dedication, perseverance, and the built result of thousands of hours behind the camera. I believe the images final printed form should reflect this: the effort, detail, and process of creating the image, in the highest quality.
My primary printing method is on metal. Each piece is a finely crafted artwork printed directly onto metal Chromaluxe Panels using archival inks and a dye-sublimation process that brings extraordinary depth, contrast, and vibrance. The result is a floating, frameless image that glows with light and detail, almost as if illuminated from within. If you are in New Zealand, these prints are created near the southern alps, in Wanaka, New Zealand.
Every print is made to order and is produced in limited numbers. The surface is smooth and glossy, with deep blacks, subtle tones, and colours that shift naturally with the light in your space. The metal finish isn't just about aesthetics but also about longevity. These prints are durable and built to last for generations. Lab testing shows 65+ years without any fading or colour change in standard environments.
Each artwork arrives ready to hang, with a clean, modern mount that makes the image appear to float off the wall. No glass, frames or reflections, just the image itself. The ultimate way to showcase an artwork. These pieces are designed to be lived with and to hold a sense of wonder, stillness, and connection to the night sky and landscapes they come from.
